Our facility at Menden has been carrying out electroplating processes since 1949. Based on the theories of Luigi Galvano, the inventor of modern electroplating technologies, we began manufacturing electroplated surfaces as early as in 1949. Until today, this facility successfully employs a number of electroplating processes in order to serve clients in the healthcare, clean technology and automotive sectors. We began to manufacture coin blanks in 1991. The Amera GmbH facility at Menden manufactures coin blanks from electroplated steel. Our coin blank production is therefore soundly based on our expertise in applying electroplating techniques, which we have accumulated over several decades, to achieve universal competence in electroplating technologies for the benefit of our clients.
